Your Week Ahead Forecast: 21st to 27th of April

Updated: 3 days ago

Silhouette of a person under a starry sky with a large gold moon. Text: "Your week ahead: 21st to the 27th of April. Conversations with The Gods."

A note: My Mum gave me some helpful feedback on my week ahead forecast and this is in response to that: This forecast assumes a bit of an understanding of astrology and some practice at feeling into the energy of the moment to see how it's manifesting for you in your experience. If you are a beginner then it may not be easy to discern or feel, especially when everything is so loud.

So, a recommendation: If you are learning, then pick one of the transits below - whatever feels most interesting to you - and take note of when it is happening. Then just pay attention to what themes might arise - I'll point these out in the newbie note. Notice what’s showing up in your mood, your body, your conversations, or even in the stories you’re drawn to on telly or in the news. It’s not about getting it “right”, it’s about getting curious. That’s where the magic starts.

As you get more practiced with noticing you can expand your awareness to more than one transit in the week and before long you'll be immersed in the astrology and your way of being in, and experiencing the world, will have shifted into something altogether more magical!

For more on all this, read this post.

You may also find the rising sign forecast helpful because this will narrow the range to where you're most likely to feel and notice the transits in your life. If you don't know your rising sign then fill in this contact form and give me your birth date, place and time and I will send you a picture of your birth chart and an overview of your rising sign. If you'd like a comprehensive overview of your chart then book a reading with me and I'll explain it all to you!

🥚 Your Cosmic Forecast: Rebirth After Reckoning 🥚

Week Ahead Astrology | April 21–27, 2025

Published Easter Sunday

Today, the collective celebrates a story of resurrection - of life returning after death, of love proving stronger than fear, of light rising from the shadows.

And whether or not we follow the religious narrative, there’s something deeply resonant in the timing. Because we, too, have been through something.

We’ve journeyed through the underworld of Venus' retrograde. We’ve faced ourselves in the mirror of Mercury’s reverse steps. We’ve endured eclipse season’s jolts and reckonings. And now, at last, the energy begins to shift.

This week, there’s a quiet but powerful sense of crossing a threshold.

🔥 Mars opposite Pluto – The Final Showdown (exact 26th of April)

As the week begins, we stand on the cusp of the third and final opposition between Mars and Pluto, a transit that’s been with us since late last year. This is The Warrior facing off against The God of the Deep, once more. But this time, we know who we are.

Mars in Leo holds nothing back. He’s bold, expressive, and fiercely loyal to what lights him up. Pluto in Aquarius, though, is playing the long game, inviting us to liberate ourselves from old systems of control, from collective shadows, and from inner patterns that keep us stuck.

This moment is about power. Not the kind we take from others, but the kind we claim within.

It's about the courage to say: This is who I am now. And I’m not going back.

Ask yourself:

  • What has been stripped away since this opposition cycle began?

  • What have I reclaimed?

  • Where am I now ready to step into a fuller expression of myself, even if it feels scary?

This isn’t the kind of power that shouts. It’s the kind that whispers, You made it through. And now you know what matters.

🔥 Newbie Note:

Theme: Power, control, courage, inner fire

Watch for: Intense emotions, power struggles, a surge of willpower or rage, sudden breakthroughs, confrontations with old patterns or deep-rooted fears

Feel into it by: Noticing where you’re pushing too hard, or being pushed. Where are things heating up fast? Where are you feeling the pressure to fight, to prove, or to break free? You might feel the urge to force your way forward, but pause and ask: is this fight worth it? Or is there another kind of power in standing your ground calmly, clearly, and on your own terms?

This transit isn’t about avoiding the fire. It’s about letting it refine you.

💞 Venus with Saturn – Love That Lasts (exact 25th of April)

Venus is newly direct, and She’s still in the tender embrace of Saturn in Pisces. These two don’t rush. They don’t promise fireworks or fantasy. They’re crafting something different: a foundation.

This is the kind of love that takes time. The kind of beauty that’s been weathered by sorrow and still stands. The kind of value that no longer needs validation.

If Venus retrograde showed us what’s not enough, this conjunction is asking:

What am I now ready to commit to: heart and soul?

Not just in relationships, but in the way you live. The way you love. The way you honour your own worth.

This is the energy of vows. Of tenderness with backbone. Of choosing again, with eyes wide open.

💞 Newbie Note:

Theme: Love, commitment, self-worth, boundaries

Watch for: Satisfactory (or strained) relationships, a craving for quality time, feelings of loneliness or emotional distance, doubts about your attractiveness or value, practical pressures on love and connection

Feel into it by: Noticing where love feels like work this week. Where are you showing up even when it’s hard, or not being met in the same way? Have time, pressure, or expectations made connection feel restricted? This isn’t about fantasy, it’s about what’s real. What’s worth your time and effort? What feels like it’s been tested, and might actually be standing strong?

I've written a few blog posts in honour of this transit and what this conjunction has been showing me about my life. Read them here:

🌑 Taurus New Moon – Planting the Real Seeds

The week closes with a beautiful New Moon in Taurus on Saturday 27th April. The final punctuation to a chapter of deep release.

Taurus is about embodiment. Safety. Slowness. Pleasure. And this New Moon is asking us to anchor all we’ve learned into the body, into the earth, into a real and present life.

This is a time to:

  • begin again, but not from scratch, from wisdom.

  • plant seeds that match who you’ve become.

  • define success by how it feels, not how it looks.

Taurus reminds us that worth isn’t something we earn, it’s something we embody. That beauty doesn’t have to shout. That the most radical act, sometimes, is to rest. To root. To receive.

Read about this Taurus season.

And read the reflection I had when I felt into the energy of the season at the weekend:

🌑 Newbie Note:

Theme: New beginnings, grounding, safety, pleasure, self-worth

Watch for: Cravings for calm, the urge to slow down, desires that feel more aligned with who you’ve become

Feel into it by: Tuning into your body and your environment. What feels nourishing? What feels like “too much”? Let yourself daydream about a simpler, steadier life, and take one small, tangible step toward it. This New Moon wants you to plant something real.

🌸 A Personal Easter

So here we are. Easter Sunday. A resurrection story.

But maybe your story isn’t about rising in glory. Maybe it’s more about rising with truth. With scars. With strength that isn’t shiny, but real.

Maybe your rebirth looks like saying no to something that no longer serves you.

Maybe it’s calling yourself back home after wandering far.

Maybe it’s simply standing still and choosing to love yourself exactly as you are, today.

This is a week to honour the sacred within the ordinary.

To trust what’s quietly growing beneath the surface.

And to remember:

You are not behind.

You are not broken.

You are not too late.

You are becoming.

✍️ Journaling Prompt: The End of an Old Fight

This week, Mars and Pluto stand face to face for the final time in this cycle, a confrontation between your drive and your deepest patterns. It’s a reckoning. But it’s also a liberation.

  • What old power struggle am I finally ready to end, within myself or with others?

  • Where have I given my power away out of fear, and where am I ready to claim it with love?

Let the answers come from your body as well as your mind. Notice where you tense, where you soften. You don’t have to fight anymore. But you do have to stand in your truth.

This is the final portal. The old way can stay behind. What rises now is you, with nothing held back.

🔥 Mars–Pluto Opposition Horoscopes

For Each Rising Sign | April 21st to 27th, 2025

A moment to reclaim your power. A turning point that invites courage over control, presence over performance.

♈ Aries Rising

This is a showdown between your self-expression (5th house Mars) and your place in community (11th house Pluto). Are you holding yourself back to fit in? Or pushing too hard to prove something? It’s time to find your true creative fire, not for applause, but because it lights you up.

Ask: What would I create if I wasn’t worried what people thought?

Watch for: Creative blocks, social tension, feeling like you’re not being seen

Feel into it by: Asking, “Where have I been performing for approval?” Your fire wants to burn freely now. Let your authenticity speak, even if it’s not what others expect.

♉ Taurus Rising

The tug-of-war plays out between your home (4th house Mars) and your public role (10th house Pluto). Are you trying to be everything to everyone outside the home while neglecting what you need within it, or vice versa? There’s a chance to rebalance here. Honour your roots to rise stronger.

Ask: Where do I need firmer boundaries - at home, or in the world?

Watch for: Clashes between personal needs and outer responsibilities

Feel into it by: Honouring your inner foundations. If the world’s demands feel like too much, carve out space to breathe. Power grows from deep roots, not constant striving.

♊ Gemini Rising

Your beliefs are being tested. This is a clash between what you know (9th house Pluto) and what you’ve experienced (3rd house Mars). You might find yourself questioning the stories you’ve lived by. Let curiosity lead you, not ego. Real wisdom doesn’t shout, it listens.

Ask: What truth am I now ready to see, even if it changes everything?

Watch for: Arguments about truth, growing discomfort with outdated beliefs

Feel into it by: Challenging your own thinking. Ask: “What do I really believe now?” Let your mind stretch into new territory, but stay grounded in lived experience.

♋ Cancer Rising

This energy touches your money, self-worth, (2nd house Mars) and shared power (8th house Pluto). There may be old entanglements around who owes what, and where value really lies. You’re learning to hold your ground. You don’t need to be owed to feel worthy.

Ask: What power do I reclaim when I stop waiting for permission?

Watch for: Financial tension, control dynamics in close relationships

Feel into it by: Tuning into your own value. Are you overextending to feel secure or loved? Step back. You don’t need to fight to prove your worth.

♌ Leo Rising

Mars in your sign (1st house) is bold, but Pluto in your relationship house (7th house) is asking for more than fire. This is me vs we. It wants truth. Real, raw, vulnerable truth. If you’ve been holding your breath in love, it’s time to exhale. You can be fully seen, and still be safe.

Ask: What part of me am I afraid to show to someone I love?

Watch for: Pressure to change in relationships, power imbalances, identity struggles

Feel into it by: Standing in your truth without bulldozing anyone. This is about claiming yourself, not controlling others, or being controlled.

♍ Virgo Rising

This is a confrontation between your daily habits (6th house Pluto) and your hidden psyche (12th house Mars). Old patterns may flare up, especially the ones you thought you’d outgrown. This is healing work. You don’t have to fix everything. Just meet yourself with honesty and care.

Ask: What invisible force has been quietly running the show?

Watch for: Burnout, overwork, old coping patterns flaring up

Feel into it by: Noticing how you try to stay in control through routine. Can you soften instead? The real work is happening under the surface. Rest is radical here.

♎ Libra Rising

This is about your dreams (5th house Pluto) vs. your belonging (11th house Mars). Are you shrinking to keep the peace? Dimming your light in certain spaces? You’re being asked to own your uniqueness. Not everyone will get it, and that’s okay. I know personally how hard it is to push yourself into places that don't feel harmonious to everyone... But, you find your people by being real.

Ask: What dream am I ready to stop compromising for acceptance?

Watch for: Tension in friendships, feeling like your voice doesn’t fit in

Feel into it by: Asking: “What do I want to create, just for me?” You don’t have to twist yourself to be accepted. Your people will find you when you stop hiding.

♏ Scorpio Rising

Power dynamics are loud in your world right now, especially between your public self (10th house Mars) and your inner foundations (4th house Pluto). You might be confronting generational or inherited patterns around control and survival. You can build success your way now.

Ask: What am I still trying to prove, and who taught me that?

Watch for: Control struggles at work or home, identity tension

Feel into it by: Asking yourself what success actually means. Do you feel seen? Safe? Supported? Power isn’t always louder, it’s deeper and more rooted.

♐ Sagittarius Rising

There’s a fire rising in your mind: beliefs, opinions, and purpose (9th house Mars), but Pluto is tugging on old thought loops, fears, or internalised voices (3rd house Pluto). It’s time to speak from your soul, not your programming. Let go of inherited fear.

Ask: What do I believe now, that I didn’t believe before?

Watch for: Mental overload, needing to “win” debates, wrestling with purpose

Feel into it by: Letting go of the old narrative. Something new wants to rise, but you’ll need to release the story that’s been holding your fire back.

♑ Capricorn Rising

This one’s deep. It’s about shared power, intimacy (8th house Mars), and self-worth (2nd house Pluto). Are you letting someone else define your value, or hiding your full self out of fear of rejection? Time to reclaim your power from the places you gave it away.

Ask: Where have I made myself small to keep the peace?

Watch for: Jealousy, vulnerability hangovers, money or energy leaks

Feel into it by: Asking, “Where am I protecting myself too tightly?” True intimacy requires risk. Let go of what’s draining you, and reclaim what’s yours.

♒ Aquarius Rising

This opposition hits your relationship axis. If there’s tension between your autonomy (1st house Pluto) and your connections (7th house Mars), this is where the shift is happening. You’re not the same person you were, and your relationships need to meet this version of you.

Ask: What do I need to feel free and connected?

Watch for: Power struggles in partnerships, questioning your place in relationships

Feel into it by: Feeling into your need for freedom and connection. You’re allowed to want both. Honour who you are now, without apology.

♓ Pisces Rising

The Mars–Pluto clash lands between your body (6th house Mars) and your unconscious mind (12th house Pluto). Old stress patterns, avoidance, and hidden anger might surface in physical ways. Listen to what your body’s been trying to say. Let it guide you to healing.

Ask: What truth does my body already know?

Watch for: Overwhelm, stress symptoms, avoidance patterns bubbling up

Feel into it by: Listening to your body. Where’s the tension? What’s it trying to say? There’s wisdom in your aches and tiredness. Let them speak before they scream.

🔥 Collectively – What to Watch For

Mars (force, assertion, desire) in Leo opposite Pluto (power, control, destruction, transformation) in Aquarius can play out like a clash between ego and the system, between individual will and collective control.

This week, we might see:

  • Explosive conflicts — military escalations, protests, or public outbursts where suppressed tension finally erupts

  • Power grabs or takedowns — leadership struggles, corruption revealed, someone in power being challenged or exposed

  • Tech and AI drama — Pluto in Aquarius could bring big headlines around digital control, data breaches, or resistance to technology's overreach

  • Group dynamics under strain — unions, activist groups, or even online communities fracturing or fighting for integrity and purpose

  • People pushing back — especially against restrictions or censorship, or standing up boldly for personal freedom

This transit can stir blood and thunder. It might feel like something’s boiling over.

🌍 What Newbies Can Learn From Watching the World

This is such a good moment to understand how astrology isn’t just “out there” - it’s everywhere. A few tips:

🔎 Look for themes – When you see power clashes, intense public confrontations, or stories about people being forced to face uncomfortable truths, that’s the Mars–Pluto energy speaking.

🧩 Ask: What’s being exposed? – Pluto often brings what's hidden to the surface. Mars doesn’t hold back. So this combo forces a reckoning.

🎭 Watch how leaders behave – Is someone being too dominant? Too reactive? Are they confronting a shadow they’d rather avoid?

💬 Notice language in headlines – Words like explosive, crisis, demand, control, truth revealed, tension, breakthrough, or resistance are all clues.

👁️ Newbie Practice – Track the Transit

Pick one headline this week that grabs your attention. Ask:

  • What’s the power dynamic here?

  • Who’s fighting? Why now?

  • Is there a deeper pattern being exposed?

Keep a little note of it. You’ll start to feel how these Gods - Mars and Pluto - aren’t just myths or metaphors. They’re alive in our collective story.

And the real magic? The more you notice it outside, the more you’ll begin to feel it within.

A note on AI & my writing:

I use ChatGPT as a writing assistant—not as a writer. These are my thoughts, ideas, and words, shaped by my lived experience and deep love for self-work, self-awareness, the spiritual journey, and astrology. AI helps me refine, structure, and nudge me toward better phrasing, but the voice you’re reading is mine. I use it as a tool to help me put into words everything I believe is valuable in sharing my insights. Honesty matters to me, and this is simply one way I bring my thoughts to life.
